38 Weeks

*Disclaimer – we are now in the days of not caring. No makeup and hair is going wild out of the shower. Don’t judge the leopard slippers either!

How far along: 38 Weeks. So close! <3
Baby is the size of:  A Spaghetti Squash
  Soon. Soon.
Weight gain: I’m down 3 pounds from last week but I had a morning appt vs an afternoon one so I didn’t have a chance to eat as much. Back to the 25 pound mark. 🙂
Maternity clothes:
I’ll take anything at this point. Literally maternity tank tops. Getting far too large and a little annoyed that nothing fits.
Stretch marks:
Belly button in or out:
  Flat. Very flat…but not out.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty awful. Good until about 3am then awake every 30 minutes to roll over.
Best moment this week:
Finally being 1cm dilated!!! WOOHOO…things are moving in the right direction and baby knows it needs to vacate asap. I could tell the baby has dropped because I am peeing a lot more often and feel more pressure. Also, my strep was negative.
Worst moment this week: Ugh..just call me Mrs. Graceful. I had a doctor appointment Thursday morning and I decided that when I’m 9 months pregnant I want to fall down the stairs. My foot slipped and I went down hard on my butt/back and got some nice rug burn. Kev was in the shower and thought I was banging on the wall. As protocol, doc sent me to the hospital to be monitored for a few hours and everything came back fine. It was no fun but better to be safe than sorry!! We also got another snow storm this weekend while Kevin was out of town and Mom came to babysit me. It’s not fun cleaning snow off when you’re the size of a cow.
Miss anything:
Adult beverages.
Still very calm. Nurses said the baby was perfect. 🙂
Cravings: Nothing really.
Queasy or sick:
Nope, doing pretty good.
Labor Signs:
More contractions, it was cool seeing them on the monitor today!
Swollen ankles and pressure in my pelvis. All good signs of what’s to come.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Looking forward to:
AH I am getting SOOOOO anxious to meet this little bugger. It’s getting to the “last time” and “next time” moments. The next time I see my Mom, we will be having or had the baby, and the next time I see my girlfriends we’ll have some show-and-tell! Everyday I leave work I think it could be my last. That’s exciting itself. I just want baby to make it’s entrance soon and on its own…SO excited to him him or her. <3
